About Eden Park

Eden Park is nestled between East Walnut Hills and Mt. Adams. The park is home to the Cincinnati Art Museum, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, and the Krohn Conservatory, making Eden Park one of the most popular parks in Ohio. Landmarks within the park include the Hinkle Magnolia Garden, which features a historic gazebo; Seasongood Pavilion, which hosts outdoor concerts; Mirror Lake featuring the Bettman Fountain in the center and the Spring House Gazebo overlooking the lake. Other highlights include the charming Twin Lakes area. The lakes were once an old quarry that was converted into two small lakes, joined by a footbridge, and surrounded by walking paths. This area boasts an impressive view of the Ohio River and Kentucky, several significant sculptures, and a playground. It’s a great spot for chess or launching model boats.

Also, within Eden Park is the historic Water Tower, designed by Samuel Hannaford, The Memorial Grove, The President’s Grove, walking paths, and many more points of interest. Eden Park’s newest feature is Tom Jones Commons, which includes a walking loop, wetlands with a walking bridge, a picnic shelter, natural play areas, seating, modern landscaping, and a connection from the lower reservoir area to the Seasongood Pavilion and Mirror Lake. There is something for every nature lover and park visitor to see, experience, and enjoy at Cincinnati Parks’ Eden Park.

Walk to Mt. Adams from the Overlook at Eden Park (10 to 15 minutes). Mt. Adams is one of Cincinnati’s most historic and picturesque neighborhoods and is adjacent to Eden Park. It is a charming historic neighborhood overlook downtown Cincinnati, the Ohio River and the Kentucky Hills. The first major vineyard west of the Alleghenies, one of the largest observatories in the world , the family Rookwood Pottery, all have called Mt. Adams home. The industrious Irish and German immigrants who settled on the hill encouraged their artisans to practice their old-0word crafts in their new word. Today, painters, and sculpture, authors and actors, designers and architects all find Mt. Adams a place that foster and appreciate creativity. With its narrow winding streets, friendly neighbors, fine museums and eclectic collections of restaurants and pubs, Mt. Adam is a wonderful and unique place to be able to walk to from The Overlook at Eden Park.
